Sheena looked out on the docile evening waters of the Mediterranean as she mulled it over. It is a fantastic opportunity… I could use a change for sure. But what will I tell Mrs. Goldkibble?
She had been Stewardess on the M/Y Calico for the past three years. She was the most senior of Anita Goldkibble’s crew, and often the only one Anita trusted. The decision was weighed down heavily by her allegiance to her notoriously unnavigable employer.
What Sheena had not realized was that she was the last pawn in a cruel game of chess. All of Anita’s best crew had been poached by her business rival, Alexei Katnikov, for his newest build, a lavish 115-meter ship. Danny Pallatino was the latest departure for the M/Y Last Laugh, and he was the one who called Sheena to offer her the job.
Sheena wanted to break the news to Mrs. Goldkibble gently to soften the blow, but she had no idea that her departure would ignite a powderkeg, and draw the two real estate barons into a very petty, very public battle.
